AUSTRALIA'S RURAL ECONOMY

Security for Australia's Rural Economy

Australia MUST have a vibrant and viable rural economy or we will become just another nett food-importer Nation, reliant on foreign economies.

Without Australia's primary producers there will be created a void where secondary industries, such as manufacturing, will CEASE to exist and produce unemployment in figures reminiscent of the depression that followed World War II.

Australian farmers MUST have tariff protection at least equivalent to that of our major trading partners or the demise of the rural economy will be felt by every Australian who puts the produce of our farmers toil on their table at every meal, every day.
